Textures

I absolutely love texture work. I find it incredibly fascinating, and I try to learn as many secondary skills (colour theory, colour psychology, semiotics and 2D painting) as possible as well tools such as Zbrush, Body Paint, shader trees and Dark Tree for procedural texturing, to help me eventually become an amazing texture artist. I have a grand dream of taking texture work out of the art department and chain it to the storytelling and design work. Watch this space!

I feel I haven't realised a fraction of my potential as a texture artist. And I make sure I am learning all the time.

My explicit goal is to become the World's Best Texture Artist by 2010. Cartoony, realism, games, films, characters, environments, props, vehicles, the works. Yes, it is an audaciously big mouthful to bite off, but it does focus my work and efforts immensely.
