Wasn't it Tom Hall, who said that, your first ten games will suck, so get them out of the way?
Well, I am going to heed that warning. Plus developing games is a ton of fun. So I have a series of simple games ideas lined up for development.
Here is the results of a team based games development module at the university. Porker Poser is a simple yet challenging game. Think of it as an inverted platformer meets Tetris meets Tony Hawk Pro Skateboarding. Apart from contributing with design I did the background and level art. It is a nimble 11 mb download.
Currently I am in the process of developing a small game centered on exploring a single gameplay hook.
For now the working title is Raptor/Baddie Count,
and it is being developed for both PC and Gameboy Advance simultaneously.
I do design, art and I guess you can add producing to that, as I manage a small team of programmers.
Well, as I said making your own games is like nothing else, but you also have to admit, that managing a team over the internet, can
be a bit difficult at times. However it does teach immense amounts of stuff, designing a game from the ground up.
Once finished, we plan to enter the game in the next Independent Games Festival as a student entry.
Recently I was welcomed aboard the extremely talented Storm Forge team, which develops the ambitious Umbra Pax full conversion mod for Half Life 2. I will be employing my varied skillset in areas such as level design, 3D modelling and texturing. Furthermore I have been assigned to oversee the collective texturing efforts of the team.
I lead the Heroes team, in development of a side scrolling space shooter for an arcade platform.
